Tourism & Hospitality Internships in the Japanese snow fields

This program is designed to give snow enthusiasts international work experience in the snow fields of Japan.

Applicants will be guaranteed a paid work placement in the tourism & hospitality industry prior to their arrival in Japan. Placements are guaranteed for 3 - 5 months dependent on the snow season.

 Location

Placements are available in Japan’s most popular ski resorts in Hokkaido or Nagano   Hokkaido is an island at Japan's northern extremity, compromising 22% of Japan’s total land mass. Winter in Hokkaido is very cold, making it an ideal location for winter sports.   Nagano is situated in the centre of Japan and is often called the "Roof of Japan" due to the high mountains in this region. Nagano is international renowned for its winter sports having hosted the 1998 Winter Olympics. Hokkaido and Nagano are popular destinations for avid snowboarders and skiers from around the world.

 Applicant Requirements

Applicants must be aged 18 to 30 years and must have an open and flexible outlook.   Applicants do not need Japanese language skills but should have a keen interest in the Japanese culture.   Ski and snowboarding abilities will be highly regarded.

Length of program

 3 - 5 months depending on the length of the snow season.

·   Assistant at ski lodge ·   Retail shop staff ·   Ski/snowboard instructor ·   Recreation instructor ·   River rafting instructor   Please note that we will take into account your preferred position, however specific requests can not be guaranteed. Placements will de decided upon according to your previous experience and Japanese language skills.

 Program fees

$3495 + GST

 Program Inclusions

·   A guaranteed paid placement within the hospitality industry in Japan ·   Accommodation at the resort ·   Transport from Tokyo to Hokkaido or Nagano ·   Orientation upon arrival ·   Calling card ·   Ongoing monitoring and support

Visa Requirements

Participants in this program must be eligible for the Working Holiday Visa.
