Participants in this program will have the enviable experience of undertaking a professional internship in one of Europe’s most amazing cities, Barcelona. You will be guaranteed an internship placement with a Spanish company for a length of 2 – 6 months.

 Internships are available in a range of industries including business administration, accounting and finance, architecture, design, engineering, IT, marketing & advertising, public relations, human resources, tourism & hospitality and more.

 Location

 Internships are primarily located in Barcelona, arguably the most beautiful and fashionable city in Europe. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, it is the cultural and economic centre of Catalonia in Northern Spain and enjoys sunny and mild weather year round.

 Barcelona is renowned for it’s innovative architecture and style, from Gothic and Medieval architecture in the Old Town to Gaudi’s modernist buildings, the Sagrada Familia, the Olympic village by the sea, Barceloneta with its sunny terraces and the Bohemian areas of Born and Gracia. Barcelona has something to offer everyone.

Applicant requirements

 Applicants must be aged 18 years or over and must be a current student or have graduated in the past 2 years. Applicants must have completed a minimum of one year’s study or work experience in a relevant field.

 Length of Program

 Applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of 8 weeks and maximum of 26 weeks.

 Working conditions

 Applicants are expected to work full time hours for their internship and will become an important part of the host company team.

Internships can be undertaken in a range of industries including business administration, human resources, language teaching, marketing, hospitality, sports and more.

 Language Requirements

 Applicants are required to have an intermediate level of Spanish language skills. We can provide a Spanish language course in Barcelona prior to the internship if necessary.

 Visa requirements

Applicants with an EU passport do not require a passport.

 Applicants without an EU passport will need to apply for a student visa. MPI’s partner in Spain will assist with the relevant documents to obtain this visa.
