ISPC was formed in 2001 with the aim of providing a service for international interns looking to complement their stay/language studies in Australia with a period of practical training. Since this time ISPC grew to be one of the leading internship organisations in Australia, placing over 800 international students in internships in Australia in 2006. In April 2007 ISPC was purchased by Monash College Pty Ltd, and has rebranded to become Monash Professional Internships (MPI). In mid 2007 MPI opened an additional office in the heart of Melbourne to go with its already established Sydney office.

MPI’s core business is providing custom-designed internships for international students coming to or already in Australia. MPI currently works with overseas partners in all continents. Our partners include private education agents, government agents, private and government universities and tertiary institutions as well as Australian universities, institutions and agents. MPI currently holds approximately 40-50% market share in Australia, being the largest intern provider nationwide. One of the company’s strengths is its ability to place interns into most industries and sectors from Marketing to Banking, utilizing an established network of companies of all sizes that have seen the benefits of drawing from an international intern’s experience. Interns are offered the opportunity to work in all major Australian cities.

In 2006 ISPC as it was known became accredited by the University of Cambridge to provide interns with the “Cambridge Certificate in Work Experience”. This is an internationally recognised certificate which will add value to a student’s CV once they have completed their internship.
